•Zero tolerance policy – All residents are to remain clean and sober. Any alcohol and/or drug violation will result in immediate expulsion.
•All residents will be administered a drug test/breathalyzer upon move in and randomly thereafter. Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate expulsion.
•All medications (prescription and non-prescription) must be pre-approved.
•First 30 days is considered orientation and all residents are required to:
•Join a home group and be active in that home group
•Be employed full-time or enrolled in school full-time
(if resident does not secure a job within first 30 days, he is to not be in the house
from 10:30-4
•Follow 11:00pm curfew (1:00am curfew after 30 days)
•Obtain and be actively working with a qualified 12-step sponsor
•No overnights, no exceptions
•Program fee must be paid in full and on time, no exceptions.
•All residents must attend and be on time for weekly in house recovery meeting, held on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm.
•All residents must attend weekly 1 on 1 session
•All residents will be responsible for scheduling a weekly 1on 1 session with their primary
•All residents are required to attend a minimum of four 12-step meetings per week, AA/NA/CA.
One of these meetings will be their home group.
•Keep kitchen clean, wash all dishes and put things back where they belong.
•All residents are required to have their chores done and bed made by 10:00am and keep room clean and neat throughout the day.
•Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion, i.e.
•Physical or verbal abuse/violence
•Destruction of property
Disrespect to other house members
•No gambling in the house
•Skip Murphy house is designed to provide a clean, safe, sober environment for those who wish to learn how to live a sober life that makes sense. It is not to be used as a “hang out”, and all visitors should be mindful of other residents.
•No smoking in the house. You may smoke out back in driveway area and must use an ash tray.
•Be respectful of the house and furnishings
•No hanging pictures on the wall
•No video consoles with house TV
•Any broken or damaged house belongings will be replaced with money from your security deposit
•Good relations are to be maintained with our neighbors and the community, please conduct yourself accordingly.
•When expecting a guest, all residents must
•Inform your fellow housemates you are expecting a guest
•Keep your guest with you at all times
•No guests past 10:00pm
•No overnight guests are allowed at any time. No exceptions!
•No sexual activity in the house
•Residents will be eligible for an outside overnight upon completion of 30 day orientation period and are in good standing with all above rules.
•If you want to take an overnight, the manger needs to be informed ahead of time. Plan accordingly.
•There is a minimum stay of 4 months here at Skip Murphy’s, any failure to stay will be subject to loss of all remaining fee’s and deposit.
•All residents are required to give a 30 day notice before moving out, and failure to do so will result in the loss of all remaining program fees and deposit.
